I think it is: Dependent on individuals . I am not aware of general rule . Individuals response to response to various stimuli is different . If you respond that way , it is entirely possible. However , it does not apply to majority of the people.

Maybe: Generally, small hiatal hernias cause no symptoms. You can't really "press" on a hiatal hernia anyway. Large hernias, also known as paraesophageal hernias, can cause chest pain and difficulty swallowing, both of which could precipitate an anxiety attack in susceptible individuals.
