Thyroid pregnancy: The required dose of levothyroxine generally is higher during pregnancy, and the target TSH is generally lower. TSH and FT4 should be checked about every trimester, or more often if there are changes in dose. If there is a prior history of miscarriage, more frequent testing may be needed.
