Go for orchiopexy? i'm 21. i lost my right testicle 7 yrs ago. i'm not sure whether it is torsion. i experience sharp pains on right lower abdomen

Torsion: If you lost your right testicle because of a torsion 7 years ago, you are at risk for torsion in the left testicle and should undergo a left orchidopexy to prevent possible loss of the left testicle.

Find out why!: If your right testicle was removed for torsion you should definitely undergo a left sided orchiopexy (securing of testicle). Testicular torsion is often the result of a anatomic abnormalities, which effects both sides therefore the left side is at risk for a torsion. If testicle was removed for another reason, the left testicle is probably normal…find out why you had your testicle removed.
