A member asked:

Could low progesterone levels or a hormonal imbalance cause a blighted ovum?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Neeoo Chin answered

Probably not: A blighted ovum may be related to some abnormal genetics in origin. The baby part of the embryo didn't grow while the placental part did.

Dr Jacobson agreed
