Why do i have sore back muscles after yoga?

It can be that your : Core muscles need further strengthening and flexibility or that you have recently started this as a new activity. You may need to include a cardiovascular routine as well. Tobacco use and weight may also be playing a role. If symptoms persist or affect your other activities you may need to see your physician to check if any underlying issues.
