Ibuprofen : Ibuprofen can offer both anti-inflammatory and pain relieving qualities. Be careful with the use of this type of medication due to side effects including stomach irritation. Always take with food. Some studies have suggested that all anti-inflammatory medications can slow down bone healing however.

Not at first: Motrin can slow down bone healing in the acute phase. I would limit it in the first 6 weeks.
