Many things: Getting rid of the Lactic Acid build up is a grea idea. Anti-inflammatory medicine can be of benefit. Ice is often helpful, as is heat. Alternating between iceand heat can work too. Using mild compression stockings during and after exercise, if you calves hurt, can be beneficial as well.
