Can ultrasounds (2d, 3d and 4d) have an affect on a developing fetus? long term affects?

Highly unlikely: There have never been problems from ultrasound, either long or short term, demonstrated conclusively in humans. While it's impossible to guarantee zero chance, there have been many millions of ultrasounds on pregnant women with no convincing suggestion of risks. Recommendations are still to limit us exposure to medically necessary - so the boutique 'keepsake' ultrasounds should be avoided!
