How does dilantin work in digoxin toxicity?

Anti arrhythmic : Dilantin, an anti epileptic drug has a mild anti arrhythmic effect against ventricular activity which is common in digitalis toxicity. But it's activity is weak and rarely used as there is a more specific and effective treatment such as Digibind (digoxin immune fab) that binds digoxin out of the tissues and circulation.
