What are signs of dilantin toxicity? i have been having bad chest pains for a few days, been dizzy, shakey, weak, just started running a fever 2 hours ago, been throwing up. i have had this before but i don't remeber much about it.

I : I do not know if you have Dilantin toxicity. Dr. Lin provided symptoms of toxicity earlier. Lets see how that list of symptoms lines up with your symptoms. Nausea and vomiting — you indicated that you have been throwing up. Tremor (form of shaking) — you indicated that you are shakey. Lethargy (feeling tired) — you said you feel weak. Nystagmus — your eyes may seem to be moving back and forth —especially if you look from one side to another. Ataxia - difficulty walking. Dysarthria — difficulty speaking. Hypotensive — low blood pressure — this might make you feel dizzy. You described having bad chest pains, and feeling dizzy. I recommend that you be medically evaluated to determine the cause. The doctor will be able to draw a Dilantin blood level at that time. I hope you feel better soon.

"The : "the initial symptoms are nystagmus, ataxia, and dysarthria. Other signs are tremor, hyperreflexia, lethargy, slurred speech, nausea, vomiting. The patient may become comatose and hypotensive. Death is due to respiratory and circulatory depression." if you don't feel well, go see your family physican.
