Can ovarian cysts stop someone from menstruating?

No: Menstruation is a shedding of the lining of the endometrium of the uterus first built up premenstrual by estrogen followed by release of Progesterone which causes shedding of the lining seen as menstrual bleeding. An ovarian cyst has no effect on this process if both ovaries are present.
