A member asked:

How will pregnancy affect my lupus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends on kidney: Patients who become pregnant with active lupus kidney disease have a worse pregncany outcome. With that said lupus and pregnacy is difficult. We certainly see normal and successful pregnancies in lupus. You need a high risk OB to follow along with your rheumatoogist.. The key in lupus and pregnacy is that some patients are stable, some who do better, and some who flare. Kidney disease is the key.
