Lupus and pregnancy: Lupus can be associated with an increased risk of miscarriage. It can effect placental perfusion resulting in intrauterine growth restriction and premature labor. Also associated with an increase in pre-eclampsia. In some patients there lupus condition can deteriorate in pregnancy.
