Different pain meds: Tramadol ; diclofenac are two completely different families of medication but they both can be used together if a patient has pain ;inflammation. The first choice is the nsaid(diclofenac in this case) on a regular basis, if tolerated ; for moderate pain then using the non-narcotic(tramadol) as your secondary pain medication. In some patients i may use a narcotic pain medication instead of tramadol.
