Possible TMJ: Since the pain is near your ear, which is also where your TMJ is, you may be experiencing TMJ dysfunction. A full exam by a dentist with tmd expertise would give you some answers. Not all dentists are experienced in this area so seek out the right dentist. Another possibility would be to see and ent. Depending on what other symptoms you have, the dentist would probably be the first choice.
