For gallbladder pain is it best to use ice or heat?

Maybe heat: Can help some with cramps caused by obstruction. Inflammation might cause severe pain that will improve only with stronger analgesics and many patients need surgery. If you have severe pain lasting more than 2 hours you should seek immediate medical attention. Also if you experience severe nausea, persistent vomiting or notice yellow skin, eyes or dark urine.
