A member asked:

Does cipro (ciprofloxacin) work on baterial vaginitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Bv is treatable with antibiotics. Two different antibiotics are recommended as treatment for bv: Metronidazole or clindamycin. Either can be used with non-pregnant or pregnant women, but the recommended dosages differ. Ciprofloxacin may not be effective in managing the most common causative organisms of this condition, but some doctors will prescribe this.
