I am experiencing a "boring" feeling in my gastric and shortness of breath. could it be the alpha lipoic acid i am taking everyday?

Unlikley but...: Alpha lipoic acid is a natural substance in every cell of your body ; is not known to cause the symptoms you mention. However, many supplements have fillers/binders/preservatives so it is possible you are reacting to some other ingredient in the pill. Try stopping it. If symptoms improve try again to be sure it's related. If so, you can try a different brand as lipoic acid itself won't cause this.
