If an ultrasound: Shows a 7 week sac u should have a normal rate htbeat , if there was just a sac or a sac and fetus bit no ht beat , repeat in one week, if no ht beat then and u are really 8 weeks then unfortunately the pregnancy i not viable but your OB should have already explained this to u and told u what the plan should be, please call your ob.
