Various causes: The back pain could be coming from several areas. Bad posture could contribute to it, or could be the result of it. If she has arthritis in the lower back, she may also have narrowing of the foramen, resulting in a pinched nerve and pain down the leg. Or it could be originating from a disc. Other possibilities include leg length discrepancy from poor posture. See a physiatrist.
