Here are some things: You can do w/o meds. Talk about feelings. Address problems-don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or moderate). Try qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, meditation, yoga or psychological counseling. Take care.

Talk therapy: The treatment for mild depression and anxiety is psychotherapy, not medication. For most people most of the time, the benefits of antidepressant meds are nothing but placebo. If you learn through therapy what causes these feelings and how to resolve them, you will not need to "take" anything. Exercise and relaxation training (for example, breathing exercises) can also help manage symptoms.
