A pituitary tumor: A prolactinoma is a pituitary tumor which produces the hormone prolactin. This hormone can induce breast milk production so patients may present with leaky breasts. This tumor require surgical resection by a board certified neurosurgeon. The surgery is performed through the nasal passages so there is need to shave the patients head prior to this brain surgery.
