A member asked:

My mri report says i have 2.2x2.3 cm t1 hyperintense, t2 hypointense cyst in right ovary, among other things, what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hemorrhagic cyst: This sounds like a hemorrhagic cyst. It needs to be followed up in 2-3 months (usu. By pelvic ultrasound) to make sure it goes away. These cysts are nothing to worry about. They may cause pain on the side that they are on and should go away without any treatment. It is important however to make sure that's what it is and that a follow-up ultrasound is done to make sure it goes away.
