A member asked:

Can a woman who has had a hysterectomy still feel pms symptoms the way regular women do?

Sometimes: Pms is often caused by cyclic hormone fluctuations regulated by the ovaries. Therefore, if you had a hysterectomy but left the ovaries you can still have some PMS symptoms. This should not occur if the ovaries were removed.

Yes: If your ovaries were left behind you will continue to experience the cyclical symptoms. The hysterectomy could however somewhat reduce the symptoms.
