Blood Flow diversion: Depends on exactly when before bowel movement. If it is just prior when you are bearing down to evacuate the rectal vault, then the valsalva maneuver cause redirection of blood flow from the brain to the viscera causing dizziness and in certain circumstances loss of consciousness.
