There is a condition: Called splenic flexure syndrome where by distenion of the left side of colon progress tot he level where the left colon make sharp turn . This place is called splenif flexure . When pressure build , it will push the diaphragm and then the heart . The signs and symptoms develop and then when the pressure decreases , symptoms resolve . Advise you to avoid gas forming food and try semitichone
