It's benign: Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia is an enlargement of a lymph node in response to some infectious or inflammatory process. It is not cancer. There are many possible causes, such as virus or bacterial infection., like what happens with a cold or sore throat.

Not cancer: You don't say, but i assume that you had a lymph node biopsy. Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia means that the lymphocytes have increased in number in response to something. The diagnosis means that the lymphocytes are not unresponsive cancer cells. Unless there is a treatable infection, there is not likely to be additional therapy necessary.
