Spironolactone: Why stop it if it works so well? You may have pcos. You can take spironolactone instead but it is not a contraceptive and it is not likely to regulate menstrual cycles. Small doses of Prednisone are also used. Metformin is sometimes used. You need to see a gyn endocrinologist. Do not take these meds if you are pregnant or hoping to be.
