Warm baths: Cold baths may be a shock to the system therefore warm baths are recommended.

A 30-year-old member asked:

Which medication is best or more effective to reduce a high fever?

Either or, but...: Acetaminophen (tylenol) or Ibuprofen both work well on fevers. There are two keys, however. First, do you really need to get the fever down? Fever helps you fight off infections, so unless you are really wiped out by the fever, you should use it to your advantage and let it help fight your illness. If you need the medicine , though, use the right dose. So many under dose the medication- use enough.
