Get it checked,,: The best thing you can do is to see your doctor and get it checked out. It depends on the symptoms you have and what you've been doing as we as your age. If it is red and swollen and painful, it might be infectious in nature, but if it's hard and non tender and you've had a history of smoking and you're over 50, you might think cancer. So it depends on what it's like and how it came about.
