Lubricant eye drops: Yes you can use any of the many lubricant eye drops for temporary relief. Remember to continue seeing your ophthalmologist while keratitis is active.

Limit your use!: Herpetic keratitis is unilateral. Use your expensive zirgan in the affected eye only. As far as adding on artificial use, please make sure they are preservative free! that means they have to have break off top (bottle claims are not sufficient).
