Typically the first: The ultrasounds performed in the first trimester I have the most accuracy and will hold the accuracy throughout the pregnancy. That is unless there are developmental problems during the course of the pregnancy. The error range for first trimester ultrasound is plus or -5 days. This can extend to several weeks during the third trimester.
