Could be rib pain: Given your age, very unlikely to be anything significant, however your pain sounds like a rib irritation, intercostal neuralgia or costochondritis (an inflammation of the cartilage which attaches to the rib). If trauma is involved i would make sure a proper medical evaluation was done to rule out worse things like bleeding, fractures or ruptured spleen. Either way consider a medical evaluation.
