Why did my baby get omphalocele?

fail to return: By 11 wk abdominal contents return to inside abdomen, failure will result omphalocele, unlike gastrochesis will have sac , abdo.Wall defect is not that significant , most of the time due to genetic defects or failure of programmed signals , environmental , inadequate prenatal care, etc, and some times unknown , don't worry baby will be fine.

Unsure : this abdominal defect is not a frequent occurrence, about one:4000 live births. It is associated with other birth defects such as heart, brain, or kidney.
