I have nsaid induced urticaria, very mild. had it for years, never got worse, no resp symp's. i've stopped nsaids for now but need them. is there hope?

Consult an allergist: Nsaid-induced urticaria is usually confined to a specific nsaid. The old saying that if you have had a reaction to one NSAID , you would react to all is not longer valid. You should consult an allergist re. This. Do note that in nsaid-induced asthma, one must avoid all nsaids other than celebrex (celecoxib).

Try cox 2 nsaid: Urticaria can be specific or all cox 1 nsaids can try a cox 2 NSAID e.g. Mobic (meloxicam) or celebrex.
