Does a podarist treat knee pain?

Not usually: Foot conditions can cause knee pain sometimes but knee pain can have multiple causes including but not limited to trauma, arthritis, tendinitis, infection, and neoplasm. A thorough history and physical followed by diagnostic imaging can help get the answers and treatment you might need.

Sometimes, but...: In most cases, a Podiatrist will not be treating knee pain. However, knee pain can be caused by injury to the ankle or foot, shoes with bad support of the feet, arthritis in the foot which causes changes in ambulation, and other foot problems. So do not completely exclude these fine Doctors. Have an evaluation by a qualified Doctor to see if the pain is caused by a knee problem first.
