Short term: The bone scan uses a small amout of radioactive tracer which may hang around for a short time. Most radiologists recommend no close contact with small children after such a study for 1-2 hours. After that, no worries.

Half lives...: I am assuming that you had a technetium bone scan. Technetium has a physical half life of approximately 6 hours. In addition the tracer is excreted in your urine (this relates to biological half life). After a few hours there should be low radiation risk, however, if you are not comfortable with the idea of being near young children immediately after the test you can wait 24 hrs (4 half lives).
