A member asked:

What does a stomach swollen from ovarian cancer look like?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Abdominal distention: It is the abdomen, not the stomach, that is swollen in some patients with advanced ovarian cancer. This is mainly due to accumulation of fluid (called ascites) within the abdomen. The fluid over time causes distention of the abdomen (just like what you would see in a pregnant women). The more the fluid accumulates, the more distanded the abdomen and patients may have discomfort and pain.
