Not good: Wide spread ovarian cancer is not curable, however, it is not feasible to provide a timeline of events that may happen. You may wish to suggest hospice care to your sister as she may be more comfortable with such care.

Prognosis: The prognosis (outlook) for anyone with stage IV ovarian cancer is quite grave. Additionally, if your sister is having frank blood while on the toilet, she should be in immediate contact with her physician or brought into the emergency room.
