What do cancer sores on the tongue look like?

Canker sores: Generally with the tongue, we are referring to an aphthous ulcer. These are whitish with a red border. They are generally painful. Also, there is a papillary inflammation (taste bud) that is referred to as a lie bump. Theses are also painful but generally a small red dot.
