Could also be: In addition to dr eleczko's excellent answer, can also be from burn (unusual location), referred pain from abscessed tooth or erupting wisdom tooth, acid reflux, or so many other causes. Please see your dentist to rule out dental causes. Please see your physician (or ear/nose/throat) for evaluation of non-dental causes.
