Not much: Most swollen gums are caused by infections so Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will not help this. An infection may need an antibiotic, but it definitely needs treatment. See a dentist asap.

Swollen gums: Swollen gums may be caused by many factors, usually some stage of periodontal (gum) inflammation or disease, although there are other causal factors such as medications, hormonal, and numerous medical conditions. See a dentist to e-valuate what's causing it in your particular case. Benedryl will have no effect and not resolve your issue! don't self diagnose or self medicate. See a professional.
