Staphylococcus infec: Staph is a normal colonizer of our skin. It causes infection when it gest in the wrong place at the wrong time. Our skin usually protects us but breaks (wounds/surgery/ivs) put us at risk for infection. If in blood stream, deep tissue/organ infection, IV antibiotics are usually a must. Simple skin infection: topical agents. An abscess: incision;drainage of the infeciton is key to treatment, .
