A member asked:

Would a ct show a malignant colon tumor ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It might: A ct scan of the abdomen and pelvis with IV and oral contrast may show a colon tumor, but not always. Ct colonography is a relatively new technique that is not performed everywhere, but it is better than standard ct scans for detecting colon cancer. Currently, colonoscopy is still the best way to evaluate the colon for cancer.
