Many problems, need answers. should i ask the night nurse or wait for doctor for child with croup?

Both: It sounds like you have your child in a health care facility. Both the nurses, and to a greater extent the doctors, are familiar with the elements of croup, its treatment and outcome. Ask both to explain in terms you are capable of understanding.

Do not wait: Croup or laryngotracheobronchitis is typically a viral process affecting the upper airway in children and producing a 'barking' cough, and possibly stridor, hoarseness, fever, poor feeding, cyanosis (appearing blue) and/or respiratory distress . The symptoms can range from mild to severe. You should contact your on-call physician/nurse to discuss further or seek emergency care to address concerns.
