Not been proven: Herpes is a virus infection, so can be transmitted by contact with another person who has a herpes infection or who carries the virus.  Herpes simplex 1 and 2 are the common oral and/or genital herpes infections that people call "herpes".  (herpes zoster is shingles, caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox.) contradicting information for lysine and arginine is all over the internet.

Avoid arginine containing food such as nuts and chocolate.  Lysine supplement will help balance arginine out.  Fish oil studies show benefit for cardio, joints, skin, eyes, and inflammation. For sure your negative result at 135 days is conclusive; you don't have HIV. Herpes zoster (shingles) is common in people without HIV and rarely is a clue about HIV infection.
