Try another PPI: Why are you trying to get of prilosec? You could try another protein pump inhibitor, e.g., Lansoprazole (brand names: prevacid, zoton, monolitum, inhibitol, levant, lupizole)
dexlansoprazole (brand name: kapidex, dexilant)
esomeprazole (brand names: nexium, esotrex, esso)
pantoprazole (brand names: protonix, somac, pantoloc, pantozol, zurcal, zentro, pan, controloc, tecta)
rabeprazole (brand names.

i am taking 100 mgs of zoloft (sertraline) for anxiety since last summer.can taking 150mgs twice per day of zantac cause the anxiety to come back?

No: Zantac will not intefere with the anxiolytic effect of zoloft (sertraline).
If anxiety is coming back talk to your doctor about it.

Reflux: Response to medication is very individualized. The best or most efficient medication is the one which works best for that person. Both medications are in the same family and thus have a very similar mechanism if action.

Something else: Sucralfate, Tums (calcium carbonate) and mylanta work.  Most unfortunate that you can't take ppis they are the most effective thing to allow the stomach to heal.  Are you making life style modifications?

Heartburn: Zantac (ranitidine) is not a medication for anxiety.
Heartburn/indigestion, feeling of anxiety attack seem to indicate stresses in your life need to be taken care of.
It is not what you eat!

It depends: it depends mostly on how severe the episode was, whether the conditions that brought on the episode are still present, and whether any treatment that you're giving it is effective or not. You should abstain from caffeine, alcohol, and  tobacco. It would be wise to avoid any Foods that you notice bring on your symptoms. Follow whatever medication regimen your doctor has put you on. swollen uvula, mild discomfort in throat. i have anxiety, could this be attributed to that. i also have to take ranitidine for stomach issues.

Uvula: This can be swollen from infection or from acid reflux or from excessive snoring in some cases. An examination would be needed to try to narrow this down. Anxiety doesn't have anything to do with this.
