Both are good: Yoga and Pilates both employ a lot of core strengthening exercises without high impact or heavy lifting.  I recommend them both to my patients frequently.

Either PLUS: Pilates and yoga are excellent exercises to help reduce back pain, but if you are trying to correct a curve or slow down progression, then you need to seek the help of a trained physical therapist to teach you specific exercises that have been developed for this condition! see above  for more info regarding yoga and scoliosis.

Neither one will fix: Scoliosis is not going to be fixed by exercises or stretching, but it is still a good idea for you to be active.  I would suggest that you see a doctor well trained in the management of this condition.  If severe some people need surgery.  But clearly the more physically active you  are and the better the muscle tone, the better it will be for you.

Not at all: Scoliosis treatment depends on age to some extent. If you are still growing, the scoliosis can progress and needs to be evaluated for bracing or surgical treatment. Most scoliosis requires muscle strengthening to mitigate the spinal imbalance and yoga is a terrific means of accomplishing this. Yoga itself is not one entity and so the answer also depends on the type of yoga.

Yoga can be: beneficial but you need to adapt it, and any type of exercise, to your own situation.  Please see your doc to get clearance for yoga and then a yoga instructor to help you create a program that is safe for you.  Peace and good health.

Anything: Exercise will not change scoliosis in adults or growing children. That is a proven medical fact. Core exercises, though, are great for anyone with back pain or a tendency for it. So progress flexibility as you tolerate. Don't force motion, as your curve may block some movements. Enjoy!

Yoga is helpful: Anyone who has a spinal problem with benefit from exercise, especially exercises  that strengthen your core muscles. Yoga is one example of an exercise that builds core strength.  It will not correct or alter your scoliosis in any way, but is very helpful for reduction in back pain that may accompany scoliosis.

No: Yoga is wonderful for reaching and maintaining mental and physiological health. Rib humps secondary to scoliosis, however, are fixed and not improved by yoga unfortunately.
