Mystery: Your year long syndrome deserves better than a 2 line description (your part) and wild guessing (our part). A thorough evaluation is necessary. If the UK system allows you to go to a university for a comprehensive evaluation, I would recommend that.

Talk to a therapist: Or a psychologist about why you don't believe repeated reassurance that your chest pain is not a medical condition .  Your chest pain could be anxiety or a psychosomatic condition.   Doctors have probably already told you that.  Repeating the same ineffective pattern for a year is clearly not working.

22 year old, chest pain, shortness of breathe and dizziness. i do have a history of severe anxiety and asthma.. could it be a heart attack?

Not heart attack: Just by listening to the presentation, i think you are having a panic attack. Asthma could do this due to hyperventilation, but it seems more like panic attack with hyperventilation and feeling of doom. Go to your doctor and be treated appropriately or at least be reassured and help you cope with the anxiety.

Need more info: Chest pain has a long list of causes, from musculoskeletal pain, pleurisy (inflammation on lung lining) and shingles to pulmonary embolism, pneumonia and more life threatening causes.  Having no other symptoms makes this less scary though.  Is it worse when inhaling?  Do you smoke or recent injury?  Likely nothing, treat with ibuprofen and if new symptoms/lasts longer than three days see your doc.

Wouldn't be heart: The story fits more with what's behind the heart.When we swallow our own spit we open the entrance to the stomach.If it is processing food, the squeeze will push stomach acid up into the lower esophagus.For some this will cause transient pain.Tums (calcium carbonate) can helps some, but avoiding caffeine &amp; not laying down for an hour after eating, can help it fade sooner.
