Joint popping: Joint popping is common with restriction of joints. In general the pop allows for freedom of motion. If pop causes pain it should be evaluated. The pop is the release and separation of the joint surfaces.

im 16 male and both of my wrists make popping or crackling sounds whenever i roll them. i do not experience any pain but i am scared.it happens inboth?

Wrist popping: Most cracking and popping is from a build up of air pockets. Inflammation can increase this. If you have not injured yourself and there is no pain than I would not worry about it. Hope that helps

i've been having problems with pain and popping in my left wrist. the popping occurs in the outside part of my wrist when i make a twisting motion with my hand/wrist. any ideas what this is?

Not serious: It's similar to popping of your knuckles when u intentionally do it. As we age, our cartilage , ligaments, joints and bones become less pliable and brittle creating the grinding sound. Get tested for arthritis . Follow up with your dr. Don't get old ! stay  young and active !( check link below).

Need evaluation: Triangular fibro cartilage complex  or  tfcc injuries if untreated will cause serious disability to wrist function , will have wrist weakness  , loss of grip pain on pinky side , if you did not see ortho or hand surgeon take an appointment , make sure to follow instruction use of splint , activity etc , some times need surgery
